Snowy Character Profile
After a chance encounter with the ultra-extreme Avalanche, Snowy was invited into the Cool Creations
Gang. Snowy likes to take a 'leisurely' approach to his chores, which is partly due to his cumbersome
size but mostly because he is just a cautious critter by nature.
He misses the mountains at times but it could become awfully lonely up there and besides, who on
earth could he share his ice-cream with up there? Things can tend to get a bit too much for Snowy, but
he's found a good friend in Woddles who is more than happy to talk him through his troubles, and if that
doesn't work by golly a scoop of his scrumptious specialty will - ICE CREAM!
Fun Facts
The lowest recorded Australian temperature is minus 23.0°c recorded at Charlotte Pass (NSW) on 29 June 1994
In 1887 the largest snowflake ever recorded fell in Montana (USA). It was a whopping 38cm in diameter!
Snowflakes are like fingerprints. No two are ever the same!
At the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, an ice cream vendor ran out of cups and asked a waffle vendor to help by rolling up waffles to hold ice cream. Voila! the ice cream cone was invented!
Approx 13% of men and just 8% of women will admit to licking the bowl clean after eating ice cream.
Could you get your mouth around the world's biggest ice cream sundae? At 12ft tall it was made with 17,666 litres of ice cream in California, in 1985!
Party Hints And Tips
When planning your party, there are no right or wrongs. But there are things you can do to make sure you have all bases covered. Here are just a couple of the things we do to make the perfect party perfect. Remember, these are just a few ideas; the rest is up to you!
Games
Fun fun for everyone!
There are a million-and-one games to play at parties, it all depends on what is right for you! We feel
no party is complete without at least a game or two, but as fun as they are, they can also be a bit
tricky...
Think about who you have invited. Will they all be able to play? And hey, think about how many people
you have invited, you don't want one game to take hours to play. If there are a lot of people, think of
a game that has multiple people playing at once like dodgeball for instance, or a game with a quick
rotation of turns, like pin the tail on the donkey.
Chess is not a good party game!
Why not try a wacky-relay? All you need is a bunch of crazy clothes (maybe mum and dads old stuff? Ask first!) and instead of handing over a baton to your team-mate, before you take-off you have to put on a new piece of clothing!
When, Where, HOW???
Too much fun, not too long
Think of a way to keep the party going. No-one likes a party to drag! A good way to do this is to
sit down with your party-planners and think of how many activities you want to do and how long they may
take. As tempting as it may be, try not to make the party too long. You would rather have a jam-packed
party than run out of things to do. Leave people wanting more, not wanting to leave!
How Polite!
Please and thank you go a long way!
Remember your manners! Sometimes Cornelius tends to forget his, but we know he means well he just
gets a bit carried away with all the fun. Without your friends and family there would be no party, and
without a party there is no us! Always remember to thank people if they bring gifts or help in any way.
Sometimes it can be nice to write a little thank you note to pop into the loot bags for the end of the
party. That way your friends will have a little memento from your special day!
Tasty Treats!
Remember, be creative! Food is a great way to keep the energy levels up for your party. Instead of one
big banquet, why not try little snack breaks between activities? This way you can keep the party goers
happy without being too full to play!
You can even think of crazy ways to mix and match your Cool Creations. For example, have you ever
wondered what would happen if Snowy and Mikey Martian were in the kitchen together? Did someone say
THICKSHAKES???
Most Importantly...
HAVE FUN!!!
